​Software Engineering Team Lead / Manager

North Leeds - Hybrid (1 -2 days in the office)

We are partnered with a smart technology company driving innovation within the energy sector, creating solutions across software, hardware and cloud services. They require a Software Engineering Team Lead to lead a high-performing engineering team who are responsible for building and scaling a B2B SaaS platform.

 

This is a technical leadership role with people management.

 

You will lead the design, development, and delivery at the same time manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers (backend, frontend, and/or data engineers).

 

Experience needed :

 

  • Proven experience leading a software development team ideally in a SaaS environment.

  • Extensive experience in backend development (e.g., APIs, microservices, distributed systems).

  • Familiarity with AWS.

  • Solid understanding of system scalability, performance optimization, and security.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Proven experience leading or mentoring engineering teams.

  • Experience of software development using languages such as JavaScript or TypeScript with REACT and Node.JS
