£50,000 - £60,000

A leading Investment Bank are looking for a Front Office Support Analyst to provide 1st & 2nd Line IT Support to the Fixed Income and Convertible Bond divisions. The Support Analyst will be providing 1st & 2nd Line application and desktop support to the production environment and respond to technical and business issues raised between 7am and 6pm on-site.

Support Analyst Duties:

•Technical fault analysis and coordination of issues through to resolution, ensuring maximum system up-time is achieved.

•Continuous communication (written and oral) with a wide range of business users.

•Producing technical support documentation and disaster recovery procedures.

•Proactively contributing to the department knowledgebase.

•Input towards the BAU programme of work – identify tactical and strategic solutions to address system inefficiencies.

•Provide resource input towards strategic projects and the BAU programme of work, including producing the relevant documentation.

Support Analyst Key Skills:


•A good understanding of Fixed Income Cash and Repo Trading flows.

•Experience of working within a Trading Floor environment.

•1st Line support experience of at least 2 of the following:

  1. ION & Anvil 9;
  2. Bloomberg (inc. TOMS);
  3. IP Networking and Security;
  4. Client and Broker Connectivity (FIX);
  5. Electronic Trading;
  6. Able to run SQL queries;
  7. Excel VBA.

•Excellent communication and people skills with a strong customer-focus.

•Desktop support including hardware/MS Office and spreadsheets/databases.

•Self-starter and keen to drive initiatives to completion.

•Genuine interest in finance, with a desire to work closely with the business.
