Hybrid Data Scientist/Data Analyst required to work in an established data technology team within a large Digital outfit. Our client have a huge audience across web and mobile products thus having access to huge amounts of data and the insights generated by the newly formed team which will inform the future product strategy.
You will be proactively asking questions, create deep insights, visualise data and build models for all aspects of the Digital business.
-Analyse large volumes of diverse data, and derive actionable insights from it
-Communicate insights and results at different levels to diverse audiences within the company
-Help develop best practices around how experiments are run and analysed
-Collaborate closely with data engineers, product managers, analysts, and drive the agenda on data-based decision making in other teams across the business
Ideally the successful candidate will have-
-an advanced degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, physics, psychology, operations research, or related area
-experience with experiment design, user metrics, and running online experiments
-Experience applying quantitative methods to real world problems
-Experience with Python, and libraries like scipy, scikit-learn and pandas
-Experience with relational databases such as MySql or PostgreSQL (experience with NoSQL databases, Redshift or BigQuery is a plus)
-Experience with modern data processing frameworks like Spark is a plus
