Well known FinTech start-up who have had lots of positive media coverage are looking for a Head of Development who’ll be working closely with the technology, product, and QA teams, to develop the company’s flagship product and 3 new projects.

The company have been going for around 4 years and have grown dramatically during that period, they have been mentioned by Forbes as a company to watch and you would be joining an already established company who work in modern google like offices. The company work in a .Net Full Stack (Angular / Knockout) environment and utilise Product and DevOps tools such as BitBucket, Jenkins, TeamCity and Octopus Deploy. As the company are growing at a very fast rate this position offers the chance to move into a CTO role in the future, ideal candidates will be “roughly” 30% hands-on.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical leadership to design and build reliable, scalable, secure and fault tolerant systems
  • Leading software development using Scrum methodology and creating software development plans
  • Leading a team of developers combining in-country and offshore resources fostering an environment of accountability
  • Driving development forward and innovate on our existing platform towards a microservices architecture that is highly scalable and simple to maintain
  • Working closely with the technology and product teams to develop and standardise approaches and tool set in code management, DevOps, continuous integration, continuous deployment and automated testing
  • Knowledge around .NET framework - ASP.Net, C#, VB.Net, MVC, WebAPI, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap, Knockout, React, Angular.
  • Responsible for reviewing, analysing, and modifying systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing support application systems
  • Experience of working as or with DevOps, excellent understanding of Agile (Scrum), CI/CD, deployment pipelines, automated testing (TDD, BDD, Selenium/Data Framework).
