Role background for the Product Manager:
My client are seeking Product Manager / Owner who sits at the intersection between business, technology and user experience and they are looking for someone who is experienced in and passionate about all three. As a Product Manager / Owner you will play a vital role in the development and iterative improvement of both back-end and front-end systems and services. You and your other team members will be focussed on optimising the products to achieve the business goals while maximising and measuring return on investment. You will ensure that all products meet and anticipate the needs of both users and product stakeholders.
Whilst this is not a hands-on technical role, you will require a good understanding of the technology stack and be in a position to estimate the level of effort involved in making change. Your skills and experience should cover design, web & mobile development, software engineering, analytics and the product management approaches that bring them together efficiently and effectively. You will also need to demonstrate an excellent awareness and understanding of the latest digital trends.
Key responsibilities for the Product Manager:
Product Managers work closely with the Business to understand the drivers and feature requirements, before creating clear, actionable, appropriately sized user stories and BDD tickets. The Product Manager / Owner will work on feature projects across some or all of the products. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an Agile environment, liaising with cross-functional teams and leading 3 Amigo sessions, planning sessions and retrospectives. You will also be comfortable in meetings with internal stakeholders at a senior level and be able to extract business requirements, demonstrate new features and influence decisions with them effectively. You will have experience working in a fast-paced, multi-workstream environment. This is a superb opportunity for a logical and enthusiastic candidate to further their career in Product Management.
