Automation Test Engineer – Selenium, Cucumber, PHP, Behat

Leading EdTech company in Central London require a Automation Test Engineer to join a team which develops desktop and mobile sites using PHP, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.

You’ll be working closely with some of the leading minds to develop and build quality digital learning programmes, the company are mid-sized, tripled in size since 2014 and work in beautiful modern offices. You’ll be joining a small team of testers and will have a major influence on projects and decision making, as well as working on the core learning platform you will work around desktop and mobile websites. You’ll be working across the full stack, coding in Behat and Selenium scripts.


  • Know how to create high quality, scalable and secure PHP/JavaScript/HTML/CSS test scripts
  • Experienced with modern quality methods, framework, debugging and automation techniques
  • Behaviour Driven development/testing (BDD) tools, like Cucumber/JBehave
  • Expert on automation script using Behat, PHP and PHPunit
  • Designing and writing test automation scripts using test automation frameworks.
  • Create, execute and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across our systems.


  • You can work with Cloud providers such as AWS / Azure
  • Experience with TDD, BDD and load testing tools: Jmeter/Load runner
  • Familiarity with some or all of: Bitbucket, Gherkin, HTML5, CSS3, Git/Bitbucket/JIRA, CI/CD/DevOps tools like Puppet, Chef, Salt, Terraform
