£70,000 - £80,000 per annum
DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Old Street, Shoreditch
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Benefits:
As the DevOps Engineer you'll need to have experience with AWS, Continuous Integration using Jenkins and Nginx (or similar e.g. Apache, Caddy, Haproxy etc). This role is 80% DevOps and 20% Development so having programming skills is ideal, ideally with Python, PHP or similar BUT they are happy to train you in the development areas if that's required. You will have to complete a Python/Flask development test as part of the process so a willingness to do this will certainly go in your favour!
You will be given ownership of any individual task that you pick up, taking it from requirements gathering, through development, testing, code review and deploying to production. They emphasise on making small, frequent deployments (typically a few per day) and their CI/CD pipeline is optimised for this, with pull request testing and automated docker container publishing.
As the DevOps Engineer you'll help maintain and develop the infrastructure that runs their apps. They run a k8s cluster on AWS with various AWS services, such as Elasticsearch, RDS and Elasticache. They need someone who can diagnose issues and pro-actively be on top of any performance issues, to keep their apps running smoothly.
With this experience you'll join a rising Health-Tech startup who will be an 11 person development team by the end of the year, with around 20 other employees in other parts of the business. They embrace the startup culture and the CEO has a desk just like anyone else. Everyone has time to help anyone else in the business, and we ask just that you do the same.
So, if you're a DevOps Engineer who's keen to find out more, please apply now!
