Front End Developer

£600 - £650 per day



Our client, based in Central London, is looking to secure a Front End Developer from a Banking background, who has exceptional front end / React skills. 

The ideal candidate will be from a Banking background, be self-motivated, well-rounded and enthusiastic about both user experience and a variety of front end technologies. You’ll work closely with the internal team within the investment bank; taking high-level concepts and rapidly developing them into functioning, interactive prototype using React and Redux technologies.

Working onsite with our financial services client, you will focus on helping to build a new investment platform for the future. We’re looking for some minimal experience using React ecosystems to create engaging mobile applications that can delight users within the financial services industry.

Work onsite at the financial institution to help build the next generation of investment technology product platform

Partner with existing developers, UX Designers and Product Owners to shape and contribute to the development, improvement and functional capability of the product

Engage with internal stakeholders to educate, learn and build on your technical knowledge of React JS technologies


Experience building front-end capabilities using the latest technologies across Javascript, HTML and CSS

Knowledge and interest in architecture of web applications

Experience with one or more application frameworks such as Angular or Polymer

Fluid and responsive layouts

Ability to develop for and test across a wide range of browsers, platforms and devices including touch screen smartphones and tablets

Version control systems such as Subversion / Git


  • Performance and debugging tools like Chrome dev tools / Firebug / Fiddler
  • Transpilers such as LESS / SASS / Babel / Webpack
  • Modern JavaScript (ES2016)
  • Data visualisation libraries such as D3
  • Issue tracking systems such as Jira
