Our client, an FS related business based in Canary Wharf, is looking to secure a head of HR on a permanent basis. 

 
Reporting directly to the Group CHRO, the Head of HR takes full responsibility for the London, Gibraltar, Dublin and India offices. This is a London based role that requires first class UK and international HR knowledge and experience, leadership prowess and the ability work in a fast, disruptive pace.

Responsibilities:

  • The Head of Human Resources will take responsibility for all HR related topics within the regions of UK, India, Gibraltar, Ireland and satellite offices/payroll including Japan, Italy, Holland and Gibraltar.
  • Managing a team of 6 direct reports (total team size is 10 including facilities)
  • Close interaction and partnership with the broader global HR team and particularly with group wide centers of competence for Recruitment (UK) , Learning & Development (Bulgaria) and Comp & Ben (UK)
  • F2F partnering with local and overseas, multi P&L/Business Line senior leaders to drive a complete and professional HR service, including (but not limited to): organisational and business unit effectiveness, workforce planning, employee on-boarding, employee relations, engagement and retention, performance, goals, talent management, and total reward management.
  • Act as internal ambassador, upholding and promoting the company values and its diversity and inclusion strategy and initiatives (a designated champion)
  • Improvement of the local CSR footprint
  • Execute HR action plans in line with global HR guidelines and management expectations
  • Act as a sparring partner for the CHRO
  • Form part of an international HR community and participate and contribute to global HR strategy (including bi-weekly meetings and bi-annual conferences)
  • Manage continuous change and evolution in a rapidly changing environment, including support to due diligence requirements (sale or acquisition)
  • Help identify and drive local recruitment efforts and pursue a “promotion from within” culture; succeed in identifying and attracting key talent, especially technical talent
  • Help create, manage and evolve the strong employer brand
  • Actively participate and manage employees engagement initiatives (town halls, ambassador programmes, team events etc.); effectively represent the company as one of the respected leaders
  • Build a network of suppliers to help deliver first class solution
  • Facilitate succession planning process and manages/develops key employees
  • Support headcount restructuring and optimisation efforts
  • Manage performance, associated personal and career development plans
  • Actively deploy and assess employee motivation and engagement surveys (powered by GLINT)
  • Assist the deployment of global HR programmes (including L&D) and deliver on global/local HR projects
  • Identify and manage key talent (including high potentials)
  • Ownership of HR policies and processes, defining new ones when and where needed
  • Payroll and benefit management
  • Ensure health and safety programme is in line with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain Successfactors HR system and ensure 100% data reconciliation and integrity
  • HR KPI development and management

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in HR management, business administration, psychology, or other relevant university studies
  • MCIPD qualified
  • 5+ years in a similar role or having managed various HR sub-functions; profound knowledge of state-of-the-art HR practices and deep understanding of core HR processes
  • Experience in leading complex and international HR teams (inc India)
  • Experience in working in a matrix structure is a must; familiarity with M&A is an asset
  • Industry background is open; background in a fast-paced, technology driven industry is desired
