As the Java Developer you'll be working within an Agile, TDD, DDD/Architectural Design, XP, CI/CD, Cloud and DevOps environment. They are passionate about training and becoming a better developer so don't worry if you don't have all the skills. They hire organically and want people to share the same mindset and passion for Clean Code, Agile methods and wanting to always learn/improve yourself. They will put a lot of time into training you into the best developer you can be.

Java Developer requirements:

  • Agile (Scrum, Kanban) environment experience, TDD/Unit Testing, DDD/BDD, CI/CD - or a passion to work with these methods.
  • Client engagement skills - able to work client facing when required (all within London)
  • If you have Cloud/DevOps experience that'll be advantageous but is not required.

Their Java Developers are practitioners, teachers, mentors, and leaders. As the Java Developer you'll use Agile methodologies and Extreme Programming practices, like Test-Driven Development, Simple Design, Pair-Programming and Continuous Integration, in all projects. You'll build well-crafted software for customers and will get better at your craft through training, coaching and mentoring. You'll be helping companies get better at delivering software.

They have 2 teams; Java and C#. They are keen to bring on good Developers who have a broad appreciation for technology but specialise in 1 or 2 languages (JVM, Javascript, DevOps) and Agile practices. There are a few projects utilising Scala, Clojure and Javascript/Node.js so these are other areas that you can be trained on.

As the Java Developer, you’ll be working alongside Craftspeople who share your passion for learning, whether that’s on a client project or contributing to internal projects.
