New Product Manager

£500 - £575 per day



Our client, an exciting emerging bank, is looking to secure a New Product Development Manager, with cash ISA Experience. 

Role details below, but we basically need you to have experience launching new, on-line products within financial services. 
Role summary

The purpose of this role is to manage and co-ordinate the development of new savings products. Acting as the subject matter expert and lead for all new product development activities related to savings, ensuring all decisions and actions align to the delivery of the target customer experience and outcomes, business requirements and regulatory standards - to time, quality and cost.

You will be comfortable working autonomously, under time pressure, in an agile environment and have excellent attention to detail.

Strong relationship management and collaboration skills will be required as you work across all Bank functions, including the PMO, Operations, IT, Marketing, Compliance and Legal to successfully deliver new products.


  • Ownership of clear and accurate articulation and documentation of the end-to-end business requirements/customer stories for new products
  • Collaborates with the IT and ops team to ensure delivery, documentation and optimisation of all supporting processes, systems, infrastructure and resources
  • Collaborates with the compliance, risk and legal team to ensure product, documentation, marketing material and process compliance with all relevant legislation, regulation and industry best practice
  • Responsible for delivery of all new product governance requirements
  • Collaborates with the PMO to ensure end-to-end project is delivered on-time, to quality, budget and project governance standards
  • Instigates, analyses and interprets customer, competitor and market analysis to drive decisions and recommendations
  • Collaborates with marketing to develop and deliver the go-to-market strategy for new products

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in a regulated financial services environment – ideally savings/cash ISAs
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrable customer focus
  • Strong understanding and experience of digital capability
  • Up-to-date understanding of regulatory environment - ideally including ISA regulations
  • Able to work under time pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Highly collegiate and willing to get hands dirty
  • Experience delivering projects under an agile project methodology preferable
