A market leading data engineering client in the heart of London are looking for a Product Designer to help develop user centric designs for customers and be responsible for the look and feel of the application, with a focus of bringing the ease of use to the consumer. As the successful Product Designer you will need to have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high levels requirements into interaction flows and artifacts.

As the Product Designer you will be:

  • Self-motivated and used to dealing with uncertainty
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and iterative development

Product Designer Main Areas of Responsibility

?Partner with the Head of Product Management to set the vision and standards for UI design

?Gain a close understanding of users’ day to day use of the software and be a voice for them

?Create product mock-ups and prototypes

?Ensure visual consistency across all features

?Collaborate with engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience

Product Designer Requirements

Successful candidates will have the following attributes:

?5+ years of product UI design experience

?A strong portfolio containing examples of usable and beautiful software

?Strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique to quickly

?Ability to build wireframes, user journeys and prototypes to test functionality

?Proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wireframing tools

?Good experience with Sass/CSS

?Understanding of the principles and implementation of responsive web design

?User interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies

Product Designer Beneficial Skills:

?A design degree from a reputable university

?Experience using JavaScript

?Previous experience working in an Agile environment
