A leading ecommerce client are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to work across a number of test activities including automation. The QA Engineer will analyse, design, carry out manual test activities, select and automate appropriate test cases for the clients website(s) and back office systems. The successful QA Engieerwill have a strong technical background as well as solid testing & automation experience, with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.

QA Tester Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience of automation testing in an Agile/BDD/TDD delivery environment
  • Demonstrable experience of developing & executing test cases/suites for enterprise applications developed using various technologies including Java/J2EE & web services or JavaScript
  • Strong technical knowledge (e.g. Unix / Linux)
  • Experience testing web & mobile applications
  • Experience in testing APIs and other non-UI-driven functionality
  • Experience in testing data consistency
  • Hands on experience coding / scripting test cases using JavaScript / Java / Selenium Webdriver and Protractor using BDD Concepts
  • Experience of using IDEs like IntelliJ / Spring Tool Suite and Git / BitBucket
  • Experience of using JUnit / TestNg for running and reporting
  • Experience of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery frameworks
  • Excellent communication abilities & team-working skills
  • Basic knowledge of database & coding concepts

QA Tester Beneficial Experience:

  • Experience of performance testing & JVM tuning
  • Experience of fault-finding techniques, for example log file analysis
  • Experience of a high-volume distributed eCommerce environment
  • Experience of automated testing toolsets and procedures
  • Experience of API testing with Postman
