Senior Java Developer – Investment Banking – Java 8, Multi-threading, Windows, Linux, Unix, TDD, CI

Global (mid-sized) Investment Bank based in the heart of London are seeking a Senior Java Developer who will join an established programming team developing and designing solutions for the Risk, Data and Derivatives team.

The successful Java Developer will hopefully have a history of delivering complex multi-tier architectures and solutions ideally within a front office finance environment, you’ll be dealing directly with business sponsors to gather requirements and understand the business needs. This hire will be introduced to the data and risk management of a multi asset derivatives system – with multi location distributed caches,distributed pricing and risk systems; gathering of new data requirements, ascertaining risk and data delivery as well as day to day queries and support.

Tech Overview:

  • Strong Java 7 knowledge, bonus if you have Java 8 (they use it)
  • Understanding of multithreading and multiprocessor design issues and patterns
  • Windows/Linux/UNIX development experience
  • Appreciation of Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration

  • Platform Symphony, Spark, Akka, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Redis, MemCache, Coherence
  • C++, C#, Ruby, Python, Bash
