A leading London based Insurance client has an opening for Senior and Lead Solutions Architect to join their team. The highly recognizable company has made a global impact over the last 20 years and are now looking to expand further. 

They are looking for someone who has great interpersonal skills and will flourish as part of a team. Strong communication skills are key as the role will require working with onsite and offshore teams. You will be required to assist the Groups Chief Architect, and the rest of the architecture function to produce a future strategic IT architecture blueprint and associated IT transformation roadmap. They are looking for someone with several years’ experience covering significant IT implimentations with a keen understanding of business, application, technology and data architecture.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Identify the architectural capability alignment to each Business Unit CIO that focuses on the specific functionality required to deliver business requirements.
  • You’ll be responsible for leading and managing the additional IT resources that are aligned to each individual Business Unit CIO, and which perform solutions analysis, architecture & design roles
  • Working with a CIO to understand the Business Unit strategy and then, in conjunction with Group Chief Architect and core Enterprise Architecture team, to define both the Business Unit IT strategy & associated Business Unit “To-Be” target architecture vision and associated IT change roadmap(s)

Overview:

  • Several years of experience in architecture roles which have covered significant IT implementations
  • A broad understanding of business, application, technology and data architecture, with depth in one or two of those areas
  • Awareness of formal modelling practices such as UML or BPMN/BPEL would be useful but not mandatory
  • A demonstratble understanding of the TOGAF architecture framework.
  • Experience of integration concepts, SOA & Web Services and SharePoint would be beneficial
