Technical Support Engineer - Unit4 Agresso- Business World

£200 per day



Major Publisher/Media Organisation are looking for a Technical Support Agent on a 6 month contract.

You will be responsible for:

?Serve as the team’s first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance

?Follow team standards for steps such as gathering supporting information and making sure the user is clear on the next stage(s) to resolve their issue

?To proactively and promptly monitor and direct all tickets allocated to the team

?To resolve or escalate first line queries such as user setup and approval structure changes in a timely and effective manner

?To record actions and comments against tickets clearly and concisely

?Log all tickets for incidents or requests that are not reported via the IT Hub

?To monitor, resolve (within the scope of the role) or escalate any errors from the files imported from external systems

?To be part of project support for the system development team(s).The scope of this support will be changeable and agreed by the Finance and HR Systems Manager and include first line level tasks e.g. testing and data entry

?To support the Finance Systems Analyst as required, learning and using the knowledge and skills they will transfer

?Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures

Technical & Professional Skills

?Able to remain calm and collected in pressure situations to allow constructive guidance to the user

?Able to learn new skills and knowledge, picking up on technical and business challenges quickly

?Good communications skills with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

?Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues

?Computer literate and good understanding of MS Office

?Have an excellent attention to detail and be able to follow instructions with the confidence to raise questions when things are not clear

?To be able to put yourself in the user’s position and collect all the information necessary to resolve or effectively escalate their query in a professional manner
