As a Risk Management Specialist, your daily responsibilities will include:
• Crafting and implementing a robust risk management framework, integrating effective monitoring mechanisms and feedback loops to ensure sound decision-making aligned with the Group's risk tolerance.
• Spearheading initiatives to enhance lending strategies through iterative testing and learning, identifying optimal approaches for both new and existing clientele.
• Exploring and integrating novel data reservoirs for comprehensive analysis and informed decision-making.
• Engaging and influencing stakeholders at various levels across the organization to garner support for transformative initiatives as needed.
• Nurturing business expansion and portfolio profitability by striking a balance between risk, reward, and ethical lending practices, while maintaining control over credit quality and performance.
• Facilitating the professional growth of team members by offering coaching, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
Leadership Responsibilities:
• Crafting a coherent strategic roadmap for analysts in the Dynamic Lending Division, amalgamating acquisition decision-making with ongoing customer management into an integrated function.
• Recruiting, nurturing, and coaching team members to ensure a high level of proficiency, competence, and morale, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Defining clear performance objectives to drive individual and collective achievement of functional objectives aligned with strategic imperatives.
• Cultivating an inclusive environment that champions diversity and positive behaviours, leading by example in identifying, addressing, and mitigating risks through robust controls.
• Demonstrating a collaborative mindset by readily allocating resources to support critical initiatives and shared organizational goals.
Key Qualifications:
• Proven track record in Risk Management, ideally specializing in Credit Cards across the credit lifecycle.
• Experience in leading analytical teams, adept at prioritizing tasks, providing strategic guidance, and sustaining motivation through coaching and professional development.
• Strong quantitative skills with a knack for translating analytical insights into compelling business narratives, demonstrating solid commercial acumen.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas to stakeholders effectively, influencing decisions, and delivering impactful messages when needed.
• Proficient problem-solving abilities, adept at identifying innovative solutions to mitigate risks, address challenges, or capitalize on opportunities.
• Stay abreast of the latest regulatory frameworks and macroeconomic trends.
• Customer-centric mindset with a keen understanding of the broader implications of strategic decisions on customer outcomes.
